Who wakes whom at night?
You may say, “My dog wakes me.” But a new study gives a surprise. People and dogs wore small movement watches. These watches show when bodies move. Often, the person moved first. The dog moved soon after. (journals.plos.org)
For example, Emi turns in bed. Her dog sleeps beside her. Emi moves her leg. Then her dog lifts its head. Emi may blame the dog. But Emi moved first.
Still, movement is not always waking. So, we do not know everything. At night, your dog may follow you. The quiet troublemaker may be you.
