Why is the moon losing its light?
Mika sits by her window.
She has a warm cup of tea.
The moon is bright at first.
Then a dark part slowly grows.
Is the moon going away?
No. This is a lunar eclipse.
It means Earth’s shadow covers the moon.
Later this month, many people can watch one.
Only part of the moon becomes dark.
Mika takes one small drink.

The dark part is bigger now.
