Scientists made a strange cloth for strawberry plants. It is called Plant Armor. This textile is cloth for a special job. It has many soft layers. The layers stop small insects. But sunlight, rain, and air can pass through. The cloth also keeps the plants warm. In a new test, covered plants had much more fruit. The plants also stayed healthy. (news.ncsu.edu)
Think of a screen on your window. Air comes in, but bugs stay out. This cloth works in a similar way. Scientists now want to test it on farms.
