One evening, I came home after school. I looked in my bag. My house key was not there. My phone was inside the house, too. I felt cold and afraid.
Then I saw the woman next door. I said, “Hello. Can you help me?” She smiled and gave me her phone. I called my mother. She soon came home with her key.
I thanked my kind neighbor. That day, I learned an important lesson. Asking for help is not bad. It can make a hard time easier. It is also good to know your neighbors. They may help in an emergency. An emergency is a sudden, serious problem. (ready.gov)
Now I always say hello next door.
