Where is the food?
A goat sees two buckets. One bucket has food. The goat cannot see it.
Now, a person talks. The voice goes to one bucket. The goat listens. Then it walks there.
Yes, the food is there!
But the person does not point. The voice shows the way.
Listen. A voice can help.
食べ物はどこ？
ヤギが2つのバケツを見ます。片方のバケツに食べ物が入っています。ヤギにはそれが見えません。
さて、人が話します。その声は1つのバケツに向かいます。ヤギは聞きます。そしてそこへ歩いていきます。
そう、食べ物はそこにあります！
でも、その人は指をさしていません。声が道を示すのです。
聞いてみて。声は助けになります。
「〜はどこですか？」と場所をたずねる基本表現です。

訳: 食べ物はどこですか？
「〜できない」を表します。cannot は can not の縮約形です。
e.g. The goat cannot see it.
訳: ヤギはそれを見ることができません。
主語が he/she/it のとき、動詞に s を付けます。
e.g. The goat listens.
訳: ヤギは聞きます。

訳: そのバケツは大きいです。
食べ物
e.g. I like this food.

訳: どうか私の話を聞いてください。
歩く
e.g. I walk to school.
訳: 私は学校へ歩いて行きます。
指をさす
e.g. Do not point at people.
訳: 人を指さしてはいけません。

訳: これが道です。
道を示す、案内する
e.g. The voice shows the way.
訳: 声が道を示します。
そこへ歩いて行く

訳: そしてそこへ歩いていきます。
〜に耳を傾ける

訳: その声に耳を傾けなさい。
〜を指さす
