The cost of mailing items in envelopes varies based on weight and size. For typical letters, standard mail rates apply, but if the contents are heavier or a larger envelope is used, non-standard mail rates will be applicable.
The rate revision taking effect on October 1, 2024, will see an increase in most postal services. This hike is attributed to the reduction in mail volume due to digitalization and measures to ensure the sustainability of postal services.
When sending mail, ensure to check the weight of the contents and the size of the envelope to pay the appropriate postage. Be mindful of the new rates after the revision takes effect.
