Recently, I have been watching English YouTube content with Japanese subtitles, and it has been quite beneficial.
The overall process is as follows:
1. I use MacWhisper to transcribe YouTube videos and translate them into Japanese.
2. I then utilize a Chrome extension to upload the srt (a format commonly used for subtitles) file to YouTube.
Regarding the first step, I am simply using the transcription feature of MacWhisper, a transcription app for Mac. However, by adding the DeepL API within this app, it not only transcribes but also translates the content into Japanese simultaneously. Although there is a cost associated with the API based on usage, it is free up to a certain limit, so you can sign up and give it a try without any initial expense.
