Once upon a time, a squirrel lived in a big forest. His name was Nutmeg. Nutmeg was happy. He liked the tall trees and green leaves. He liked nuts very much. But Nutmeg was a bold animal. He felt a pull to see the human world. One morning, he made a decision. He went out of the forest. He saw a city. The city had hard, grey paths and fast things on wheels. It was very loud. Nutmeg was afraid. He saw other squirrels in gardens. They were bold and not afraid. Nutmeg looked at them and learned new ways. He learned to find food in the city. He saw humans. Some humans were good. They put food out for animals. They planted trees too, so the city had some green. The city was new and full of change. After many days, Nutmeg felt a pull to go back home. He returned to his forest. He was happy to see his old nest and his trees. But now, Nutmeg was not the same. He learned that the world was big. A fish can swim. A bird can fly. And Nutmeg? He could live in the deep forest and in the open city too. He came back with a heart open to the whole world.
