Can you really hear nothing in space?
In our daily life, we are always surrounded by sound, but the situation changes in space.
The reason is that there are almost no air molecules to carry sound.
On Earth, sound travels through the vibration of air, but space is close to a vacuum, and sound waves cannot travel.
However, inside a spaceship, the environment is similar to Earth's atmosphere, and we can feel sound.
We can hear normal conversations and machine sounds inside the ship, but outside the ship, sound disappears. Furthermore, in space, communication uses electromagnetic waves instead of sound waves.
Electromagnetic waves can travel in a vacuum, so they are important for communication. In this way, the way we feel sound and send information in space is very different from on Earth.
