At MWC 2026 in Barcelona, many people talked about Lenovo’s Legion Go Fold Concept. It is a new kind of portable game machine with a flexible OLED screen. When the screen is folded, it is 7.7 inches. When it is opened, it grows to 11.6 inches. Lenovo says this idea is for people who want to play on the move and do not want to carry both a laptop and a game device when they travel. What makes this device special is its four play styles. In standard handheld mode, it works like a normal portable console. In split-screen mode, one part of the screen can show the game while the other part shows a guide, a video, or chat. In full-screen mode, the bigger 11.6-inch display gives a more open view. There is also a desktop mode with a small wireless keyboard. The controllers can be removed, and the right one can even work like a mouse. This means the machine is part game console, part tablet, and part mini laptop. (news.lenovo.com)
The concept is not just about shape. Lenovo says it uses an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V chip, 32GB of memory, and a 48Wh battery. Tom’s Hardware also reported a 165Hz touch display and 1TB SSD in the version shown at MWC. Still, this is only a concept for now, and there is no confirmed release date. That is why the Legion Go Fold feels so interesting: it shows a possible future. Maybe one day foldable game machines will be normal, but in March 2026, they still feel like a bold experiment.
