Many learners ask a fun question: “If AI writes a paper, can it pass a conference?” The short answer is: AI can help, but the paper still needs responsible human authors. At major AI conferences, only humans can be listed as authors. NeurIPS 2025 said authors may use LLMs, but humans must be fully responsible for the paper, including the text, figures, and references. So, can an AI-written paper pass? A fully AI-made paper, with no careful human checking, is unlikely to pass at a serious conference. But an AI-assisted paper can pass if the research is real, the facts are correct, the citations are real, and the authors follow the rules.
